Want to get better connected but don’t know where to start? Our digital coaching advisor is here to help with all sorts of training options to help tenants make the most of the digital world.
Helping you get to grips with the basics of the digital world.
We have many different training options and programmes throughout the year, including timetabled group sessions at community lounges all over Christchurch.
Our digital coaching advisor can help you learn to:
Use your mobile phone and tablet, and your laptop and desktop computers
Search the web
Create an email account, and send and receive emails
Set up and use internet banking
Install and use apps on your phone or tablet
Use social media
Use free services online, including word processing and cloud storage
Do online shopping
Keep in touch with family and friends using video calls
Be entertained with games, movies
Stay safe and secure online

Getting help: Drop in sessions in community lounges
Our digital coach regularly visits community lounges to help with all things digital.
The sessions are open to all ŌCHT tenants and you don’t need to live in the community our digital coach is visiting!

What’s happening in digital
Devices for older tenants
We can help tenants 65 years and older get a subsidised digital device to use to connect to the internet.
The devices are funded by Manchester Unity Welfare Trust, a local trust that’s helping older people in Christchurch and Canterbury.
