Site work begins at McGregors Road
Contractors now have a blank-ish canvas upon which to build new ŌCHT homes at 18 McGregors Road.
A digger has leveled the site ahead of further groundworks and foundation prep for three new, 3-bedroom homes.
They'll be standalone and single-level, and heaps better than what was on the site just a few months ago.
The new homes replace a house was built in the 1950s. It was in a state of disrepair when ŌCHT bought the property in June 2025.
They will be built with Homestar standards in mind, with high levels of insulation, energy-efficient heating, good solar orientation, and durable, low-maintenance materials.
Construction is expected to take about eight months. From now on, the site is fenced, secured and closed to the public.
Our experienced contractor Bushnell Builders will manage day-to-day activity. They’ll advise neighbours ahead of any work likely to cause short-term disruption.
