Our Employment Service can help prepare you for work.
ŌCHT’s job coach Lyn is on hand to offer dedicated advice, support and practical help to any ŌCHT tenant seeking work. We offer a free employment service called Job Club, exclusive to ŌCHT tenants, to help prepare for employment.
“Looking for work can be a big step for many people, especially when it comes to preparing all they’ll need to apply for a job,” says Lyn.
“It’s easy to get stuck and to watch great job opportunities slip by.
“That’s where Job Club comes in. It’s all about supporting people as they get ready to get the job they want.”
Upcoming Job Club events
Job Club will be held at Tūranga, the city library, from 10am-12pm on Mondays on the following dates 18 July, 25 July, 1 August, 8 August.
It’ll be held in library room 4.3 on the fourth floor. The library staff will show you the way.
There’s no need to ring ahead, but if you have questions before attending, you can call Lyn on 0800 624 456
More about Job Club
Job Club is an informal and supportive place for job seeking tenants to come together and talk more about finding work.
You’ll meet helpful people and you’ll swap ideas and learn from job seekers just like you.
It’s free and exclusive to ŌCHT tenants.
Lyn’s on hand with advice and support, and with one-on-one sessions after Job Club.
“It’s a really supportive environment, where people encourage each other as they continue their employment journeys,” Lyn says.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting more people who are keen to get ready for work.
“I’m here with support, and Job Club is a great place for us all to support each other, too.”
