Digital Coach Advisor


Community Support Worker

The Community Support Worker is responsible for the delivery of a positive, outcome-based service to tenants and their families in a large new community housing development, supporting them to thrive and succeed in their tenancies and their well-being.

This is a new role, which will foster opportunities for tenants and whānau to grow and develop their own knowledge and skills in areas that interest them with the aim of having a positive impact on tenants, tamariki, whānau and the wider community.

The Community Support Worker will have a key role in this. They will:

  • Engage and empower the community housing tenants to thrive in their tenancies,
  • Promote community building with the tenants and wider community,
  • Develop group work and community activities with tenants, whanau and tamariki in response to their needs and interests,
  • Participate and be involved in the research and evaluation of the project.

Their experience and qualifications requirements are:

  • Excellent listening, negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to, and ideally experience in, strengths-based community development principles and practice.
  • Significant experience in working with tamariki and whanau.
  • Experience in working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Social Services qualification (NZQA Level 4 or above)

Candidates must have a full driver’s licence and the right to live and work in New Zealand.

Digital Coach Advisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Coach Advisor to lead a new initiative to increase digital equity, reduce barriers, and assist tenants to access and use the internet.  You will motivate tenants to attend educational sessions and so they can use the internet confidently and safely.  You will work closely with our partners to achieve this outcome.

The Digital Coach Advisor will:

  • Champion the Digital Equity programme
  • Understand tenants’ needs and capabilities in relation to digital equity
  • Work with digital device partners to ensure tenants have the tools for digital equity
  • Deliver digital coaching to tenants to develop their skills
  • Establish partnerships that provide digital educational sessions
  • Provide reports and statistical information on the project progress and outcomes

Experience and qualifications requirements:

  • Excellent listening, negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at once and prioritise workload
  • Ability to schedule tasks and work to project milestones
  • Strong coaching skills in a digital environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with social sector would be an advantage
  • Experience dealing with a wide range of queries from diverse client group.
